29 Mar The function of the uterus in labour
In this section, you will learn about the function and the physiology of the uterus in labour. This is a key module of the workshop and will help you to understand things like how labour starts, what are the differences between Braxton Hicks tightenings and when these turn into labour tightenings.
We will also look at the changes that take place, for example, changes to your cervix and changes to your hormone levels.
In this section, we are looking at the normal physiology of labour, that is, what should happen when your labour starts naturally. Of course, every persons labour is different and unique to them. Here we are trying to help you understand your body so you can work with it no matter how your labour starts.
